It is very expensive to put on concerts. Soloists can easily cost in excess of £1000 and to employ a small orchestra of semi-professionals cannot cost less than £50 per player, so choral societies fight to keep their funding on a sound basis.
There are various ways in which you could help us in our efforts. If you would like to be of assistance to the Choral Society but are not able to be an active member, why not become a Friend?
For a small subscription, you will receive notice of all the Society’s activities and free tickets for its concerts.
If you run a business, perhaps you would like to sponsor one of our events. We are deeply grateful to the one firm, Birkett Long Solicitors which does sponsor us currently, covering the major part of our printing costs. Their support is invaluable.
The Society is a Registered Charity and eligible for gift-aid, attracting relief at the highest rate; therefore we can offer an attractive promotional package to our mutual benefit. Or perhaps you could take an advertisement in one of our programmes and reach many local residents.
